Everyone has experienced abandonment. The Greek myth of Atalanta, a fierce huntress who was abandoned in infancy, illustrates how this trauma might play out in a woman’s psyche. However, a myth is an archetypal representation of inherent patterns of development, and a human life is much more particular and complicated. By translating the myth of Atalanta into psychological language, we will explore dreams and life events wherein aspects of the myth are constellated, thereby gaining insight into the trauma of abandonment. =0D=0A=
